Turkey is the biggest producer and exporter of Sun dried figs in the world at about 60-70% of the worlds total annual harvest. Figs grow mostly in Aydin region of Turkey, particularly in Nazilli. Due to the favourable climate of these regions, the figs have thin skin and high honey content.
